I have been <br />living in the neighborhood for a fc,v years and, as many people of all agest young <br />families with children and senior citizens, have been enjoying the quiet and peaceful <br />environments and the convenience of daily life. <br /> <br />I understand that a. massage permit is being applied for by a massage parlor operator to <br />open a SP Almassage facility at the above address. I ",ish to eKpre38 my view on this <br />application as I am concerned about the traffic and activities that ,,111 be created by the <br />nev.-- establi$hment and oW' lives that will be adversely affected. As you are aware: there <br />are ah-eady many massage parlors exiting in t.~e area along the main roads and the nearby <br />streets of\Voodside Road and El Camino Real in Redwood City. Although I am not <br />suggesting that massage parlors will necessarily bring Jnore crime and illegal activities, I <br />believe my concern that the quiet and peaceful environments in the area. where I live -will <br />be adversely affected by the traffic and sexual acti\'ities that may be brought by the new <br />parlor is jUb~itied. As you will also know. L1.Creare sev~cl. ~pa."'t1:len.t complexes, <br />including senior housing, in the location near the above address. People living in these <br />housing complexes consist of young families with children at or before school, as well as <br />senior citizens. A massage parlor in such area is therefore not appropriate and "",ill <br />certa.inly affect their lives there. <br /> <br />In view of the foregoing, I would appreciate very muc.h your taking my above views into <br />consideration for refusing the pennit now being applied for.
