<br />understanding of some of the critical issues facing California, and to give these leaders some of
<br />the tools they will need to succeed if they progress into the State Legislature.
<br />
<br />Participants of the program will benefit from policy-focused educational discussions and
<br />tours at Southern California Edison's Big Creek facility this July in the Sierras, as well as a
<br />program in Sacramento held at the .California Chamber of Commerce focusing on the
<br />political climate and dynamics at the Capitol. The program's curriculum for 2009 will include
<br />content on critical policy issues facing California, including energy, water and
<br />transportation, as well as politics in Sacramento.
<br />
<br />The League is proud to claim several members of the legislature as CCLI grads, including
<br />Assembly Member Curt Hagman, former mayor of Chino Hills, Assembly Member Fiona
<br />Ma, former San Francisco county supervisor and Assembly Member Anthony Portantino,
<br />former La Canada Flintridge council member, among others.
