In response to Councilman Lcipzig's question asking if this was a matter that <br /> occurred since Thursday, Mayor Hartnett said, "Yes, it has come up since <br /> Thursday, in the sense that, since Thursday I've had a chance to obtain and <br /> review the contract, and I think there are some legal and operational issues that <br /> perhaps would be better addressed in the interest of both parties, and as such, I <br /> feel uncomfortable having to deal with the contract tonight, until those issues <br /> might be better addressed, and ! hope we can do that at our next meeting." <br /> Mayor Hartnett said these were not matters that could be changed tonight, and <br /> would take further discussions with the City's counterparts at the County. <br /> <br /> Councilwoman Buchan said she agreed with the Mayor's comments and said <br /> she did "not feel comfortable moving ahead with this until we have had a <br /> thorough discussion." <br /> <br /> CONSENSUS: Mayor Hartnett deemed it the consensus of the Council to <br /> table this item until the next City Council meeting on August 18, 1997. <br /> <br />Arlyn C.
