MARTIN FOR AN EX- <br />TF~NSION OF HIS BUS LINE WITHn~ REDWOOD CITY AND <br />THROUGH liIENLO PARK AND A PORTION OF PALO ALTO <br /> <br />vVHEREA S, R. <br /> <br />",1 <br />r . <br /> <br />MARTIN now holds a Certifies te of Convenien,ce <br /> <br />and Necessity from the Railroad Commission of the State of Calif- <br /> <br />ornia for the operation of two bus lines within the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City and a bus line to San Carlos, and to Palo Alto via Middlefield <br /> <br />Road, and has rendered and is rendering satisfactory service in the <br /> <br />operation of said bus lines; and <br /> <br />V'/I-IEREAS, this Coun cil desires to see a gradual extension of <br /> <br />bus service between the center of this city and other residential <br /> <br />portions thereof not now served, including the area of Redwood City <br /> <br />east of Woodside Road and west of El Camino Real, <br /> <br />RESOLVED tha t this Council of the C:1 ty of Redwood Ci ty does <br /> <br />hereby endorse and approve the proposal of said R~ F. Martin to in- <br /> <br />stitute an additional bus service between the center of Redwood <br /> <br />City and the areas of Redwood City east of Woodside Road and west <br /> <br />of El Camino Heal and continuing through portions of the cities of <br /> <br />li..,therton, Ivlenlo Park and Palo Alto, through a large part of vlhich <br /> <br />no bus service is now rendered; <br /> <br />FlmTlffiR RESOLVED that this Co~mcil urges the granting of <br /> <br />said application of said R. F. Martin by the Railroad Commission of <br /> <br />this state, and hereby authorizes PATTI" A. :rvlccARrr:rfY, City Attorney <br /> <br />of this City to assist said R. F. Martin in presenting evldence in <br /> <br />support of his application. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted at a regular meeting thereof by the <br /> <br />Council of the City of Redwood C1ty on the 18th day of Jl1ne, 1945, <br /> <br />by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes and in favor of the passage and adoption of the fore- <br />going resolution: Councilmen: Anderson, Armstrong, Britschgi, <br />Granger, McNulty, Hilton. <br /> <br />Noes and against the passage and adoptIon of the foregoing <br />resolution: Councilmen: None <br /> <br />1. <br />
