AUTHORIZING A MASTERPLAN FOR REDWOOD CITY RESOLVED by, the Council of the Ci ty of Redwood Oi ty, that the recommendations of the Planning Commission of this City be ap- proved in respect to. the immediate initiation of the preparation of as Master Plan of said City; that a professional Planning Engineer be engaged under a contract with definite speoifications as to the scope of the ,plan .and payment of a specific sum, not exceeding Ten Thousand ($10,000.00) for his services; that negotiations for selection of such Planning Engineer be delegated to the Planning Commission in conference with the City Manager; that the scope of such Master. Plan be comprehensive, yet simple enough that its ob- jectives may be attained within the next ten years, and that such plan include streets and their relation to prospective growth and expansion of said City, recreational areas, transportation facili- ties, off-street parking, new subdivisions, designation of areas for light and heavy industry, business, and classes of residential property, harbor development, public buildings, underpasses, and other items appropriate to an orderly growth and development of this community;' that funds be hereafter appropriated for "the cost of such Master Plan when the cost thereof is'more accurately ascertainaole.
