6.1 C <br /> Page 3 <br /> AGREEiVIENT F�R LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE AND PLANNING SERViCES <br /> {Calfander Associates} <br /> THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into as of the day ofi <br /> , 24�9, by and between the C1TY OF REDW�4D C(TY, a charter <br /> city and municipal corporation of the State of Cafifornia ("City"}, and CALLANDER <br /> ASS�CIATES, a California corporation ("Consultant"} (collectively, the "Parties"}. <br /> RECITALS <br /> A. �ity requires the pro�essionai services of a landscape architecturai design <br /> consulting services firm that is experienced in preliminary design, construction <br /> docurnenfs, and bidding and cons#ruction a�ministration for pub�ic park projects. <br /> B. Consultant has the necessary experience in pro�iding professional <br /> services and advice related to.Hawes Park in Redwood �ity. � <br /> C. Se!�ction af Consultant is expected to achieve the desired r�sults in an <br /> expedited fashion. <br /> D. Consultant has �ubmitted a prQposa! to City and has affirmed its <br /> willingness and abili�y to perform such work. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, �n consideration of these reci#a!s and the mu�ual covenants <br /> contained herein, fihe Par�ies agree as follows: <br /> 1. Scope of Work. City retains Consultant to perform, and Consultant agrees fio <br /> render, those services (the "Services"} that are defined in attached Exhibit "A," which �s <br /> incorpora�ed by this reference in accordance with this Agreement's terms and <br /> cvnditions. <br /> 2. Standard of Performance. VVhile performing �he Services, Consultant will <br /> exercise the reasonable professional care and skil{ customarily exercised by repufable <br /> members of Consultant's profession practicin� in the Metropolitan Northern California <br /> Area, and will use reasonable diligence and best judgment while exercising its <br /> professional skill and expertise. <br /> 3. Term. Unless earlier terminated, the term of this Agreement will commence upvn <br /> the date first above written and sha11 expire upon completion of performance of Services <br /> hereunder by Consultant. <br /> 4.
