Saltworks utilizes It here as a vehicle for a comprehensive presentation of the vision for the future of the Saltworks Site as embodied in the 50/50 Balanced Plan. In furtherance of Saltworks' consistent commitment to open, transparent engagement with the community and partnership with City staff and elected officials, the Application Submittal does not include actual proposed language for any of the requested entitlement components. Rather, the Statement of Justification comprehensively presents the 50/50 Balanced Plan, and Saltworks offers it as the foundation and framework for working with the City in drafting the actual entitlement documents requested in the Application Submittal. The Application Submittal Is supported by the City's Environmental Assessment Initial Study Questionnaire. Ultimately, the entitlements package will include a complete review under the California Environmental Quality Act in the form of an environmental impact report to be certified by the City Council. Formal initiation of the requested entitlements commences, per Redwood City Municipal Code section 18.61, with Council approval of the processing of the Application Submittal. We ask that staff agendize for Council consideration the Application Submittal for processing per section 18.16 as soon as possible.
