<br />~--. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />N o. 343 <br /> <br />that i:b finds and determines and hereby declares: <br /> <br /> <br />That public interest and necessity require the acquisition, <br /> <br /> <br />construction, completion and maintenance by said City of Redwood <br /> <br /> <br />City of a pUblicJimprovement, namely: a monumental cross together <br /> <br /> <br />with anchorage sites adjacent thereto for necessary guy wires to <br /> <br />sustain said monumental cross and as part of the reservoir site <br /> <br />for a reservoir of the Redwood City water system in that certain <br />property hereinafter in this resolution described; <br />That the use of all of said land for the purpose berein- <br /> <br />above stated is a public use authorized by law; <br />That the taking of said property in fee is necessary to <br />and for such public use, and that it is necessary that all of said <br /> <br />property be so taken; <br />That said monumental cross and anchorages for its guy <br /> <br />wires are planned and located in ~ manner which will be most com- <br /> <br />patible with the greates public good and the lease private injury; <br />FURTHER RESOLVED that the City M~nager of this City be <br />and he is hereby authorized and empowered <br />To acquire in fee, in the name of this City, the real <br />property hereinafter described, by condemnation, in accordance with <br />the provisions of the Code of Civil Prodedure of the state of Cal- <br /> <br />iforaie relating to eminent domain; <br /> <br />To prepare and prosecute, in the name of this City, such <br />suit in the proper Court having jurisdiction therein as is necessary <br />to condemn such lands in fee for such use; <br /> <br />To make application to said Court for an order fixing <br /> <br />the amount of such security in the way of money deposits as said <br /> <br />Court may direct to be made upon the taking,of possession of said <br /> <br />1. <br />
