<br />.. <br /> <br />CGM:wb 4/22/81 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />8837 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />APR 2 7 1981 <br />THERMOPLASTIC <br />RECEIVED; <br />WORK; AND <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR INSTALLATION OF <br />PAVEMENT MARKINGS; REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID <br />DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 8809, adopted March 9, 1981, <br /> <br />the City Clerk called for bids for the installation of thermoplastic <br /> <br />pavement markings; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for the <br /> <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, J. F. HOURIGAN COMPANY, Belmont, California, is the <br /> <br />lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of <br /> <br />this Council to award said bid to said J. F. Hourigan Company; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br /> <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of J. F. Hourigan Company in the total amount of <br /> <br />One Hundred Ten Thousand Nine Hundred Ten and 95/100 Dollars <br /> <br />($110,910.95), computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated <br /> <br />April 14, 1981, for the installation of thermoplastic pavement <br /> <br />markings is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and <br /> <br />declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br />2. Any and all bids received by the City of Redwood City for <br /> <br />the abovementioned work, other than the bid mentioned in paragraph 1 <br /> <br />hereof, are hereby rejected. <br /> <br />3. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to enter <br /> <br />into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City that certain <br /> <br />agreement entitled "Agreement" by and between the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City and J. F. Hourigan Company, for the performance of said work in <br /> <br />accordance with the plans and specifications for this project, a <br /> <br />copy of which agreement is presently on file in the office of the <br /> <br />883 7 <br />
