<br />CGM:mf 3/23/81 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. <br /> <br />8830 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />APR 6 1981 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT FOR PERSONAL SERVICES (UMPIRE SERVICES - <br />RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City conducts softball leagues <br /> <br />as part of its recreational program for the benefit of the citizens <br /> <br />of the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the operation of such softball leagues requires <br /> <br />that umpires be selected, trained and scheduled to officiate at <br /> <br />such softball games; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Redwood City Umpire's Association has represented <br /> <br />to the City that it has the personnel qualified to perform. the <br /> <br />aforementioned duties and responsibilities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, therehas'-,been:/present:ed~tothisCouncil an agreem€l.ll1t <br /> <br />by and between the Ci ty of Redwood Ci ty and Redwood Ci ty Umpire ,. s <br /> <br />Association for said association to furnish City with the aforesaid <br /> <br />skills and services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />approve said agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement entitled "Agreement for Personal <br /> <br />Services" (form dated 3/23/81), by and between the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City and Redwood City Umpire's Association, copies of which are <br /> <br />presently on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy <br /> <br />reference is hereby made, is hereby approved, and the City Manager <br /> <br />is hereby authorized to execute the same for and on behalf of the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />883 0 <br />
