An important message from Narcal Waste Systems
and the City of Redwood City:

Great Changes are on the Horizon!
Please start bringing your trash container to the curb, along with your recyc/ables!

Current Collection Service
Note that the garbage can is "inside" the gate.
Beginning January 1, 2011, newly provided
garbage carts must be brought to the curb.

Dear Redwood City Resident:

Future 3-Cart Collection Service
Beginning January 1, 2011.
All three containers - yard waste, recycling, and
trash, are on the curb for easy and fast pickup.

Some great improvements are coming to your solid waste and recycling pickup
servlcel Starting on January 1,2011, an improved, automated pickup system will be in
place. This means that your service will be faster, more efficient, and more cost..effective.
And, you'll have "single..stream" recycling - all your recyclable plastics, glass, paper and
cardboard (that you currently separate) can be mixed together in one cart.

As you see in the photo on the left, some people do not bring their trash containers to the
curb, where their yard waste and recycling containers are placed. Now is the time to get in
the habit of bringing all your containers to the curb, so that you'll be all set when the new
service begins!

Many of you already bring your trash containers to the curb for collection, and we thank you.

If the residents of Redwood City bring their trash containers to the curb, along with the
recyclables and yard waste, it will keep the operational collection service costs lower and in
turn keep potential rate increases to a minimum. So, let's all get in the habit of bringing our
containers to the curb.

Of course, residents with disabilities that have containers collected in a mutually agreed upon
area of your residence can continue to do so, now and in the future.

Thanks for being part of the great changes in store for your solid waste and recycling pickup
service! If you have any questions about your pickup service, please call (650) 780..7210.

'" 1~'''''''''''-t.~... ~""''',,_ ....~...... .......~-< ~ ............ ..................__--...~~~+~ _....... ...i~'"_'_'~.'"'""~~ . ._ _ l~__~_<_---.......___... ............_--"'-~....~\A_""'...__'<_'v#>..__~........l_..J""'.'_"..,.s.~..""_......................____~..........__..._ ____.........~J
