Award of Contract - Main Library Tenant Improvements and HV AC Replacement <br />Project. <br /> <br />Staff contact: Brian Lee, P.E., Acting Supervising Engineer 780-1391 blee@redwoodcity.org <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />1. Approve, by motion, the contract documents for the Main Library Tenant <br />Improvements and HV AC Replacement Project and award the contract to <br />Rodan Builders, Inc. of Burlingame for their responsive and responsible low <br />base bid of $635,000.00, and authorize the City Manager to increase the <br />contract amount up to 100/0 if necessary. <br />2. Approve, by resolution, amendment to the current budget to reallocate <br />$285,000.00 from Capital Projects Fund - Contingency to Capital Projects <br />Fund - Main Library 2006 Renovation to provide the additional funding required <br />for this project. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING THE REDWOOD CITY BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2009- <br />2010 BY TRANSFERRING $285,000 FROM THE "CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND - <br />CONTINGENCY" ACCOUNT INTO THE "CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND MAIN LIBRARY <br />2006 RENOVATION" ACCOUNT AND AUTHORIZING THE USE OF THE CAPITAL <br />PROJECTS FUND - MAIN LIBRARY 2006 RENOVATION ACCOUNT FOR THE <br />COMPLETION OF THE MAIN LIBRARY TENANT IMPROVEMENTS AND HVAC <br />REPLACEMENT PROJECT <br /> <br />B. Approve, by motion, the contract documents and award the contract for Willow <br />Street Improvement Project to the lowest responsible bidder, Joseph J. <br />Albanese, Inc. of Santa Clara for their responsive and responsible low bid of <br />$223,305.50 and authorize the City Manager to increase the contract amount <br />up to 100/0 if necessary. <br />2.
