<br />SWC:bc 9/17/80 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N o. 8 700 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />SEP 2 2 1980 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE FURNISHING OF TWO <br />ROTARY LAWN MOWERS; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT <br />FOR THE FURNISHING THEREOF; AND REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.65 of the Redwood City Code, <br /> <br />the City Manager solicited written bids for the furnishing of <br /> <br />two rotary lawn mowers; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said solicitation five (5) bids were <br /> <br />received for the furnishing of said equipment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Westoro Distributing Inc., Burlingame, California, <br /> <br />is the lowest responsible bidder for the furnishing of said <br /> <br />equipment, and it is the intention of this Council to award said <br /> <br />bid to Westoro Distributing, Inc.; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Westoro Distributing Inc. in the total lump <br /> <br />sum amount of Nine Thousand Nine Hundred Sixteen and 60/100 Dollars <br /> <br />($9.916.60) for the furnishing of two (2) rotary lawn mowers in <br /> <br />accordance with the bidder's proposal dated July 2, 1980, and in <br /> <br />accordance with the specifications therefor on file in the office <br /> <br />of the Director of Finance, is hereby accepted and said bidder is <br /> <br />hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for <br /> <br />the furnishing of said equipment. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an <br /> <br />agreement with Westoro Distributing Inc. for the furnishing of the <br /> <br />abovementioned equipment in accordance with, and subject to, the <br /> <br />terms and conditions of the aforementioned specifications and in <br /> <br />accordance with the aforementioned bidder's proposal. <br /> <br />3.
