<br />SWC:bc 8/13/80 <br /> <br />8680 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />AUG 2 5 1980 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH KAINOS HOME AND TRAINING CENTER <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Kainos Home and Training Center has been established <br /> <br />for the principal purpose of providing a permanent residential <br /> <br />facility to train mentally retarded adults, and offices to serve <br /> <br />as a center for the handicapped population in the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Kainos Home and Training Center has requested financial <br /> <br />assistance for use by it in conducting its activities during the <br /> <br />fiscal year commencing July 1, 1980, and ending June 30, 1981; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request <br /> <br />and desires to pay to Kainos Home and Training Center the sum of <br /> <br />Twenty Thousand and No/IOO Dollars ($20,000.00); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council for approval <br /> <br />an agreement between the City of Redwood City and Kainos Home <br /> <br />and Training Center, and it is the intention and desire of this <br /> <br />Council to approve the same; <br /> <br />NO~"V, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement (form dated 8/13/80), by and between the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City and Kainos Home and Training Center, a copy <br /> <br />of which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, <br /> <br />to which copy reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, <br /> <br />is hereby approved, and the City Manager is hereby authorized and <br /> <br />directed to execute the same for and on behalf of the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />8680 <br />
