AND WHEREAS, the aforesaid petitionfor annexation of the territory hereinbefore described, to the City of Redwood I city, a municipal corporation, has been filed with and received by thB City Council of the City of Redwood City; NOW THEREFORE BE IT, AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the City Council of the city of Redwood city does by this resolution give notice of such proposed annexation, does hereby designate said territory as the "Pike property", and does further fix Monday, the fit day of JUne, 1947, at the hour of 8 :00 o' clock P. M. at the Council Chambers in the city Hall, Middlefield Road and Jefferson A venue, Redwood City, C alifopnia, as the day, hour and place when and where any person owning real property within such terl1itory so proposed to be annexed and having any objection to the proposed annexation may appear before the city Council and show cause why such territory should not be so ennexed; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by said City Council that the city Clerk of the City of Redwood city be, and he is hereby directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published at least once a week for two successive weeks prior to the day fixed for hearing, in the Redwood City Tribune, a newspaper printed, published and circulated in the City of Redwood city, the municipal corporation to which it is proposed to annex the hereinbefore described territory. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that at any time not later than the hour set for hearing objections to the proposed annexation, any owner of property within the territory proposed to be annexed may file written protest against the proposed annexation, Such protests shall state the name or names of the owner or owners of the property affected thereby, and the description and area of such property in general terms. 3.
