EXHIBIT C
Infiltration Trench Maintenance Plan for
1153 Ruby Street
December 2020
An infiltration trench is a long, narrow, excavated
trench backfilled with a stone aggregate, and lined with
a filterfabric. Runoff is stored in the void space
between the stones and infiltrates through the bottom
and into the soil matrix.
Project Address and Cross Streets
1153 Ruby Street
Assessor's Parcel No. 058-212-280
Property Owner:
Omar Galindo
Phone No.: 650-533-3526
Designated Contact: Omar Galindo
Phone No.: 650-533-3526
Mailing Address: 1216 EI Camino Real
San Carlos, CA 94070
The property contains one infiltration trench(es), located as described below and
as shown in the attached site plan.
a Infiltration Trench No.1 is located at the northeast property corner,
I. Routine Maintenance Activities
The principal maintenance objective is to prevent sediment buildup and clogging, which reduces pollutant
removal efficiency and may lead to trench failure. Routine maintenance activities, and the frequency at which
they will be conducted, are shown in Table 1.
Table 1
Routine Maintenance Activities for Infiltration Trenches
No.
Maintenance Task
Frequency of Task
1
Remove obstructions, debris and trash from infiltration trench
Monthly, or as needed after storm events
and dispose of properly.
2
Inspect trench to ensure that it drains between storms, and
Monthly during wet season, or as needed after storm
within 5 days after rainfall. Check observation well 2-3 days
events
after storm to confirm drainage.
3
Inspect filter fabric for sediment deposits by removing a small
Annually
section of the top layer.
4
Monitor observation well to confirm that trench has drained
Annually, during dry season
during dry season.
5
Mow and trim vegetation around the trench to maintain a neat
As needed
and orderly appearance.
6
Remove anytrash, grass clippings and other debris alongthe
As needed
trench perimeter and dispose of properly.
7
Check for erosion at inflow or overflow structures.
As needed
8
Confirm that cap of observation well is sealed.
At every inspection
Page 1
ATTY/AGR.2021.025/Omar Galindo and Maria Manzo (1153 Ruby Street- STMMA) (Page 11 of 13)
Updated 1/1/20
