Cc: PWS -Terence Kyaw <TKyaw@redwoodcity.org>
Subject: Fw: Follow up to yesterday and prior emails - City using the SLC/Vogel Letter as basis for not
paying relocation
CAUTION: This email originated from outside your organization. Exercise caution when
opening attachments or clicking links, especially from unknown senders.
Hi, Pam,
Would you pis put this in the public record? Of the upcoming (next) council
meeting, and ensure that this is communicated to the council members?
This is becoming more clear in the CRAL Action, 17CIV05387 (Dept. 2 San
Mateo Co. Superior Court, Judge Marie Weiner). There was a CMC
yesterday and Kevin (outside Burke lawyer) kinda complained (a bit kinda
whiny annoyance) that we were trying to stay, or argue to stay. Judge
Weiner then said well, you really can't say you are going to mediation in
good faith when you make them commit to all kinds of things in advance,
and then I updated her on why this is a public project at 1548 Maple, with
the land swap, desire for public access, etc. the intended park and boat
launch and amphitheater seating, etc.
All of this makes what the City is doing at 1548 and Docktown very clear
that this is a public project, and that CRAL applies. Please keep this marina
and put it to productive use. Instead of a drain line item on the budget,
this could be a very lucrative business venture. Our nonprofit is equipped
to run it. Anyway, there is a basis under SLC and public trust policy and
law for us to stay (10%) as well as for full CRAL compensation. Or a blend.
Docktown could've been making money since 2013 when you took it over.
Thanks,
Alison
— Forwarded Message ---
From: alisonmadden >
To: Jennifer.Lucchesi s c.ca. ov <lenni er. ucc esi(oislc.ca.aov>; kim.lunett@O.slc.ca.aov
<kim.lunettaaslc.ca.aov>; Andrew Vogel <andrew.voaelloidoi.ca.aov>; Nicholas Tsukamaki
<nicholas.tsukamakiadoi.caio ; Daniel Slanker>
Sent: Wednesday, February 24, 2021, 09:08:36 A
Subject: Follow up to yesterday and prior emails - City using the SLCNogel Letter as basis for not paying
relocation
Hi, Jennifer,
Thanks for enabling receipt of the emails and statutory section screenshots
and putting them in the record of yesterday's meeting, and sharing them
with the commissioners. We appreciate that.
