City Staff & Council Engaged Redistricting Process (Alternative C) — Initial <br />presentation to educate the City Council on the redistricting process, methodologies, <br />technology, and timeline, plus attendance at all public meetings, expected to rely on <br />virtual attendance. <br />Creation of mapping options, evaluation of publicly drawn maps, working with legal <br />counsel on analyzing compliance with the Federal Voting Rights Act, other laws and <br />traditional redistricting criteria. Five hearings expected under the Fair Maps structure. <br />Additional duties as required. <br />Principal Staff. Paul Mitchell <br />GIS Support: Sophia Garcia <br />Cost: $35,000 <br />Support and Administration. Point of contact for City staff and commissioners, assistance <br />with scheduling of hearings, working with staff on facilities and materials for outreach and <br />commission meetings, implementing scheduling and communication tools between staff, <br />commission, consultants and subcontractors. <br />Principal Staff: Kimi Shigetani Cost: $3,000 <br />Redistricting Partners TOTAL COSTS: $38,000 <br />B. OPTIONAL SERVICES AND TOOLS <br />In addition to the Services identified above, the City may, upon written request, elect to <br />have the Consultant provide the following optional services and tools and, upon City's <br />election, Consultant shall provide such optional services: <br />1. Online Public Engagement Software: <br />a. Maptitude Online Redistricting - an online program with a public mapping tool. <br />Online Public Software + Training: $23,500 <br />b. DistrictR — an online tool allowing for mapping of communities of interest and <br />drawing of district lines. <br />Online Public Software + Training: $9,500 <br />2.
