7.A. - Page 2 of 3 <br />electronic newsletter, advertisements on Facebook, Linkedln, Twitter, and Instagram, and email blasts to <br />various community partners and contacts. Partners and contacts include the Redwood City Neighborhood <br />Associations, the Redwood City Chamber of Commerce, the Redwood City Unified School District, and <br />Latino Focus Redwood City. An advertisement also ran ahead of each City Council meeting during the pre - <br />meeting scroll that airs on local television, Channels 26, 27 and 99 and on the livestream on the city <br />website. Staff also contacted applicants who had previously applied for vacancies in an effort to garner <br />new interest in serving the Redwood City community. <br />11 applications were received for the Library Board, and 6 for the Parks, Recreation and Community <br />Services Commission. One applicant submitted applications for both BCCs. <br />At a Special Meeting on Monday, March 8, 2021, the City Council considered 16 qualified applicants who <br />submitted an application and cover letter for the three BCC vacancies. <br />The applicants for Council consideration are as follows: <br />Applicants for the Library Board* for two partial -term seats that will expire on June 30, 2022: <br />• Desiree Bartley <br />• Olivia Brown <br />• Elise DeBuysser <br />• Hoan-My Huynh <br />• Michelle Lindblom <br />• Heather Liu <br />• Jennifer Malnick <br />• Anna Lee Mraz <br />• Kristina Perino <br />• Jennifer Pollock <br />• Pallav Sharda <br />*A recruitment is currently underway to fill two full-term vacancies on the Library Board.
