<br />- -::,... <br /> <br />.-..... ._.:a <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />NO.. t/-'1~ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER <br />TO REQUEST SPECIAL CENSUS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in the opinion of the City Council of the City of <br />Redwood City, the population of the City of Redwood City is believed <br /> <br />to have increased considerably since the last special census in <br /> <br />1943; and <br />WHEREAS certain funds from the State of California are al- <br /> <br />located to the cities of California on a population basis; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS it is the desire of the City Council of the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City to receive their proportionate share of any State <br /> <br />funds which are allocated on a population basis; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Manager be and <br /> <br />he is hereby authorized to make a formal request to the Department <br />of Commerce, Bureau of Census, Washington 25, D.C., for a special <br /> <br />census of the City of Redwood City; <br /> <br />FURTHER RESOLVED that the terms and conditions set forth in <br /> <br />the letter of J. C. Capt, Director of the Bureau of Census, dated <br />July 15, 1947, with reference to the deposit of $900.00 in a local <br />bank and the forwarding of a certified check for $8.90, payable to <br />the Treasurer of the United States, be complied with; <br /> <br />FURTHER RESOLVED tha t the ai ty Manager of the Ci ty of Red- <br /> <br />wood City be and he is hereby authorized to sign a formal agreement <br />with respect to said special census when submitted by the Bureau of <br /> <br />Census. <br /> <br />'* * * <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br />
