<br />6. NON-DISCRIMINA liON <br /> <br />Contractor shall comply with the non-discrimination requirements <br />described below: <br /> <br />A. Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 <br /> <br />(1) Pursuant to Section 514 (Public Law 93-112), the Contractor <br />agrees that no otherwise qualified persons with disabilities <br />shall, solely by reason of a disability, be excluded from the <br />participation in, be denied benefits of, or be subjected to <br />discrimination in the performance of this contract or in the <br />selection of low income owners to purchase the dwelling to be <br />built on the "Property." <br /> <br />(2) Compliance of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, <br />as amended, requires that all benefits, aids and services are <br />made available to persons with disabilities on an equivalent <br />basis with those received by non-disabled persons. <br />Contractor shall agree to be in compliance with Section 504 <br />requirements by developing a plan for compliance to be <br />submitted to the Section 504 Coordinator as soon as possible <br />but not later than by the close of escrow for this acquisition. <br /> <br />B. Affirmative Action. <br /> <br />Contractor certifies that it is in compliance with the Equal <br />Employment Opportunity Requirements of Executive Order No <br />11246, as amended by Executive Order No 1375, Title VII of the <br />Civil Rights Act of 1964, the California Fair Employment Practices <br />Act and any other federal or state laws pertaining to equal <br />employment opportunity, and that it will not discriminate against any <br />employee or applicant for employment or opportunity to purchase <br />the dwelling to be built on the "property." on the basis of race, <br />religion, color, national origin, ancestry, sex, age, physical or mental <br />disability, marital status, sexual preference, or political affiliation in <br />matters pertaining to occupancy, hiring, training, upgrading, <br />transfers, compensation or termination. <br /> <br />C. Fair Emplovment Practices <br /> <br />(1 ) <br /> <br />In the performance of this contract, the Contractor agrees to <br />not discriminate against any employee or applicant for <br />employment because of race, religion, color, national origin, <br />ancestry, sex, age, physical or mental disability, marital <br />status, sexual preference, or political affiliation.
