<br />. <br /> <br />SWC:bc 8/18/80 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />8673 <br /> <br />ORIG1NAL <br />AUG 2 5 1980 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO FOR LITTER <br />CONTROL FUNDS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Litter Control, Recycling and Resources Recovery <br /> <br />Act of 1977 (Chapter 1, Division 7.8 of the Government Code) <br /> <br />authorizes state funds to be disbursed by the counties for use by <br /> <br />cities for approved litter control projects; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has proposed that the <br /> <br />aforesaid funds be used in the City of Redwood City for purchase <br /> <br />of forty-two (42) stone trash receptacles to be placed in various <br /> <br />parts of the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo has approved the aforesaid <br /> <br />proposal of the City of Redwood City and has submitted to this <br /> <br />Council an agreement whereby the County will advance to the City <br /> <br />the sum of $6,403.00 for said litter control project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intent of this Council to approve such <br /> <br />agreement; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement entitled "Agreement Between the County <br /> <br />of San Mateo and the City of Redwood City for Litter Control and <br /> <br />Cleanup," a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of <br /> <br />the City Clerk for full particulars thereof, is hereby approved. <br /> <br />The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute said agreement <br /> <br />for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />86 <br /> <br />') <br />,,) <br />
