<br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING THE PACIFIC GAS AND ELECTRIC COMPANY TO SUPPLY <br />OUTDOOR STREET LAMPS FROM THE EXISTING OVERHEAD LINES IN <br />. h THE REDWOOD VILLAGE SUBDIVISION. <br /> <br />537 <br /> <br />'t\.. <br /> <br />1dHEREAS, it is desired that certain public outdoor street <br />lamps be suprlied from the existing overhead lines of the Pacific <br />Gas and Electric Company in the Redwood Village Subdivision in <br />accordance with street and highway lighting schedule L-31 now on <br />file with the Publlc Service Commlssion, <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS) i.t 1s further desired that such installations be <br />made contingent upon the right of the City to purchase all of said <br />street lighting facilities at cost) any time wlthin a :;;Jeriod of one <br />(1) year following the date of installation, for the purpose of oper- <br />ating the same in connection with and as a part of the present exist- <br />ing City owned street lighting system~ <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED) that the Pacific Gas and Electric <br />Company be requested to submit an estimate of the cost of installing <br />the attached described street lighting units at, specified locat:Lons.. <br />together with connecting circuits, the same to be installed in such <br />a IDe.nner that the 1.nstallation will comply 1-ri th 'General Order Number <br />95 of the Public Service Cornmission.~ 1<lhen and if the Ci ty may see <br />fit to purchase and operate the same as a city owned utility. <br /> <br />FUR'rHER RESOLVED, that the Ci ty Manager be, and he hereby is, <br />authorized to enter into a contract with the Pacific Gas and Electric <br />Company for the supplying of outdoor street lighting in the Red1oJood <br />VJIlage subdivision! if in his opinion the estimate of the cost <br />thereof as submitted by the said Paclfic Gas and Electric Company, is <br />reasonable. <br /> <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing <br />resolution: Councilmen Britschgi, Holmquist, McNulty, Swift,Werder, Hilton. <br /> <br />NOES, and opposed to the passage and adoption of the foregoing <br />resolution: Counc~lmen None. <br /> <br />P.BSENT ,.
