The Web site includes three <br />Web presentations on how to find and apply for ARRA funds. The presentations are posted at <br />WYNI.arants.aov/aoolicants/recoverv webinar.iso. <br /> <br />ARRA FAQs <br /> <br />The federal Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has posted a series of FAQs related to <br />ARRA Section 1512 reporting requirements for recipients of federal recovery act financial <br />assistance. OMB also provided clarification to the June 22 memo on ARRA reporting <br />requirements. The FAQs and clarification can be viewed at <br />WYNI.whitehouse.aov/omb/recoverv faas. <br /> <br />Also, on Aug. 4, the Recipient Reporting Data Dictionary, which describes the data elements <br />speCifically required for Section 1512 recipient reporting under ARRA, became available for <br />viewing on www.recoverv.aov.This model is intended for use for the Oct. 10 reporting deadline. <br />Please see www.whitehouse.aov/omb/recoverv faasl <br /> <br />Brownfields Assessment, Cleanup, and Revolving Loan Fund Programs <br /> <br />The U.S. EPA has announced that it is seeking proposals for funding available for the Brownfields <br />Assessment, Cleanup, and Revolving Loan Fund programs. <br /> <br />Proposals are due by Oct. 16. <br /> <br />Guidelines are available on the EPA's Web site at www.eoa.aov/oswer/arants-fundina.htm. <br /> <br />On-Camera Media Training Available for City Officials at the League's 2009 Annual <br />Conference <br /> <br />Do you need to deliver your city's message more effectively during media Interviews? If so, take <br />advantage of this opportunity for professional on-camera media training at the League's annual <br />conference in San Jose, Sept. 16-18. <br /> <br />The 45-minute training will feature a short interview focused on a vital issue to your city, a video <br />playback/critique, and a follow-up interview. Participants will receive a DVD copy of their training <br />session. <br /> <br />The trainers are public Information officers and media experts from cities throughout California. <br />The session is designed to give participants greater ease in delivering your city's important <br />messages on camera and will improve newspaper and radio interviewing skills. <br /> <br />There is a high demand for these one-on-one sessions, and we're limited to three sessions on <br />Wednesday, and six sessions per day on Thursday and three sessions on Friday, some of which <br />have already been filled.
