Inc. (CCLC), Amendment #3 <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Approve by motion and authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment #3 to the <br />Revocable Permit dated August 17, 1998 for lease of property to provide childcare <br />services at the Sandpiper Community Center. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br />In 1998. the Parks. Recreation and Community Services Department issued a revocable <br />permit to CCLC for use of space at the Sandpiper Community Center to accommodate a <br />childcare program serving up to 60 children. The revocable permit allows for up to a 5% <br />increase of the rent on an annual basis. Staff negotiated a 50/0 increase of the permit <br />with CCLC in July of 2005 and June of 2008. which. Council approved via Amendment 1 <br />and 2 of the Permit. The third amendment of the permit has been negotiated with CCLC <br />and if approved would increase the monthly fee for use of the Sandpiper Community <br />Center Child Care Center by 50/0 to $48,620.25/year or $4.051.68/month. <br /> <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />City Council could direct staff not to proceed with the increase in fees or recommend <br />negotiation of an alternate increase amount. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The 50/0 increase will bring in an additional $2,315.16 per year ($192.93 per month) in <br />re <br /> <br /> <br />~OZy <br /> <br />Corinne Centeno <br />Parks.
