<br />I.rPUBLIC '. <br />,.,.,; ALLIES <br /> <br />6.1F <br />Page 3 <br /> <br /> <br />]Or <br /> <br /> <br />AGREEMENT 2009-2010 <br /> <br />This agreement ("Agreement") is made and entered into as of the 19th of <br />Auaust, 2009, by and between the following entities (sometimes referred to as uParty" or <br />"Parties"): Bav Area Communitv Resources ("Public Allies Site"), a California Non-Profit <br />Oraanization contracted by Public Allies, Inc. to operate the Public Allies San <br />Francisco/Silicon Vallev site, and incorporated under the laws of California with its <br />principal place of business at 600 Vallev Wav. Suite C. Miloitas CA 95035; and Citv of <br />Redwood Citv I Fair Oaks Communitv Center ("Partner Organization"), a not for profit <br />corporation, with its principal place of business at 2600 Middlefield Rd..Redwood Citv, <br />CA 94063. <br /> <br />The terms of this agreement apply in relation to any and all Public Allies Members <br />placed at Citv of Redwood Citv / Fair Oaks Communitv Center, beainnina on the date <br />above and terminatina subject to section V (A). <br /> <br />WITNESSETH <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Public Allies, Inc. has established the Public Allies <br />Apprenticeship Program ("Program"), the purpose of which is to recruit and select young <br />people (collectively, the "Allies"; individually, an "Ally") for training and placement in <br />public interest groups, community-based organizations, government agencies and other <br />organizations working for social change; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Partner Organization has indicated that it: <br /> <br />(a) is an organization having service in the public interest as its <br /> <br />mission; <br /> <br />(b) is committed to diversity, staff development and thoughtful <br />management; <br /> <br />(c) has a clearly defined and compensated AmeriCorps service <br />position ("Position") suitable for a prospective Ally, expected to have an approximate <br />duration of ten months from September 1, 2009 through June 3D, 2010 following <br />commencement of service (such months constituting the "Term"); <br /> <br />(d) will provide a close formal relationship pursuant to which Public <br />Allies San Francisco/Silicon Valley will furnish to Partner Organization, and Partner <br />Organization will accept, one or more qualified Allies for full-time AmeriCorps placement <br />by Partner Organization in a Position; <br /> <br />(e) has read and understands Partner Organization section of the <br />Public Allies Policies and Procedures Manual; and <br /> <br />(f) understands its obligation under the Corporation for National and <br />Community Service Grant to Public Allies San Francisco/Silicon Valley; <br />
