Memorandum <br />TO: Patrick Heisinger, City Manager FROM: Jenny Stahler, Business Manager <br />SUBJECT: Broadway Substation Lease Amendment DATE: April 23, 2026 <br />Approved: <br />Date: <br />In 2016, the City of Redwood City entered into a three (3) year lease agreement with Golden <br />Fox Ventures, Inc., then owners of the Fox Theatre. The agreement allowed an office space <br />located adjacent to the theatre to be used as a police substation at no cost to the City. <br />In 2021, a new entity named 2215 Broadway RWC, LLC. took over the Fox Theatre and its <br />premises. This prompted a new lease agreement with identical terms to the previous <br />agreement. <br />The City has been amending the 2021 agreement annually with very few changes to the <br />terms. The only significant change of terms occurred in the fourth agreement from 2025. In <br />that amendment, the City became responsible for all gas, electricity, phone, and internet <br />services. <br />The fifth amendment before you has no new changes, other than updated term dates. <br />
