The letter "R" may be used as a suffix to any CG zoning district which has been <br />designated for a "mixed use" (i.e., Combined Residential and Commercial use) in <br />the General Plan for the City of Redwood City. <br />B. The R Combining District allows residential uses consistent with the <br />reauirements of the R-5 Zonina District. C?esodential uses mo i be permitted in on <br />[Article 31, Sections 31.2 is amended, and Section 31.12 and 31.15 are added, as follows] <br />Article 31 — SPECIAL USES <br />31.2 - Assisted l i"iRg Facilities. Building Intensity Limits for Residential Care Facilities <br />and Skilled Nursing Facilities <br />Nursing homes; Rest Homes; Residential Care Facilities, Senior; and Skilled Nursing <br />Facilities shall be permitted Genditienally permitted or net permitted nensistent with the <br />allowed land uses of the dostriGt in whiGh they are proposed to be IOGated. These uses <br />s#at4 be considered commercial for the purposes of determining building intensity,—and <br />subject to applicable FAR limits. Definition. Home occupation means a business enterDrise that is conducted <br />within a dwelling unit by the residents of the dwelling unit and is incidental to the <br />residential use of the dwelling unit. Examples include cottage food operations. <br />handicrafts, consulting. and home offices for off-site business -activity such as <br />landscaping and instruction. A family childcare home is not considered a home <br />occupation and is regulated separately in Article 39 (Child Carel. <br />B. Requirements. Home occupations are permitted by right in a legal dwelling unit <br />in any zoning district with the following requirements: <br />1.
