7.A. - Page 13 of 53 <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />37.5 - Lona -Term Rental Only. <br />Tie Aaccessory dwelling units shall not be int, or offered for sale, nor sold, but may be <br />rented for terms longer than thirty (30) days. The short-term rental of accessory dwelling <br />units is not permitted. Notwithstanding the foregoing, existing short-term rentals in <br />accessory dwelling units that were registered with the City_ prior to January_ 1. 2020 may_ be <br />used as short-term rentals. <br />37.6 - Application Review Process Homeowner OGrc .^,nc-y <br />A. Application A complete building permit application for the <br />accessory dwelling unit shall be submitted along with a checklist that demonstrates <br />compliance with accessory dwelling unit requirements. The application shall include <br />plans showing the details of the proposed accessory dwelling unit under submittal <br />guidelines established by the Community Development and Transportation Director. <br />The property owner shall love on site On either the main unit or the aGGessery dwelling <br />unit -.- <br />B. Compliance Determination: No Appeals Ex n. The Community Development <br />and Transportation Director or designee shall make a determination of compliance with <br />this article prior to issuance of the building permit for the accessory dwelling unit.
