Exercise caution when <br />opening attachments or clicking links, especially from unknown senders. <br />Dear City Council, <br />I am opposed to Redwood City requiring hazard pay for pharmacy and grocery store workers. <br />It is not right to single out only grocery store and pharmacy workers for hazard pay. Our city has <br />many other people that continued to go to work because they were essential and couldn't work <br />from home. The pandemic has been hazardous to everyone's health and many other types of <br />workers. <br />Your staff report says "Many of these grocery store works face high turnover since their role as an <br />essential worker has meant longer hours and increased exposure to the novel coronavirus". This <br />statement tells me that 1) the essential workers that were out there early in the scary, part of the <br />pandemic, have already left, and 2)the workers are getting paid more overall since they work longer <br />hours. <br />Three days from now, on April 15, all adults are eligible to be vaccinated against COVID 19.
