From:
To: GRP -City Council
Subject: Public Comment - please pass hazard pay ordinance
Date: Monday, April 12, 2021 10:54:03 PM
CAUTION: This email originated from outside your organization. Exercise caution when opening attachments or
clicking links, especially from unknown senders.
Hello,
I strongly urge the council to pass hazard pay for large grocery store and pharmacy workers. These workers have
literally risked their lives so the rest of us could feed ourselves while we sheltered at home.
Grocery stores and pharmacies have done well in this pandemic, and they can afford to compensate their workers for
the risks they have incurred. I would like to see the number of employees that make a business affected by this
ordinance even lower - 500 employees or even lower would be appropriate.
Thank you,
Devon McNaughton
