HOME funds may address needs and programs in <br />contiguous jurisdictions if they will serve Redwood City residents <br />Goals <br />Affordable Housing — Production and preservation <br />Description <br />Creation of affordable housing and preservation of existing affordable housing, including <br />special needs housing. <br />Basis for Priority <br />Based on the needs assessment and market analysis, Redwood City's highest need for lower <br />income households is for affordable housing <br />PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES <br />Housing Accessibility Modification Program: Center for the Independence of Individuals with Disabilities, 2001 <br />Winward Way #103, San Mateo. These funds will be used to provide accessibility improvements to units occupied <br />by home owners and renters who are physically challenged, elderly and fragile, or non -elderly and have other <br />disabilities. $20,000 — CDBG <br />National Rebuilding Day: Rebuilding Together Peninsula, 841 Kaynyne Street, Redwood City. These funds will be <br />used to pay for materials toward rebuilding of homes by volunteers on National Rebuilding Day for low income <br />homeowners. $20,540 — CDBG <br />Safe at Home: Rebuilding Together Peninsula, 841 Kaynyne Street, Redwood City. These funds will be used to pay <br />for materials and labor to provide minor home repairs for low income homeowners. $20,540 — CDBG <br />HOMEAcquisition & Rehabilitation Housing Project (TBD): The City issued a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for <br />CDBG and HOME projects on December 4, 2020.
