6/11/01 <br />RESOLUTION NO. i4p4i <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE PURCHASE AND <br />INSTALLATION OF ONE (1) VEHICLE HOIST; AND <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF PURCHASE DOCUMENTS <br />THEREFOR <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.65 of the Redwood <br />City Code, the City Manager caused public notice inviting bids to be published for <br />the sale and installation of one (1) vehicle hoist at the Equipment Services <br />Section of the Public Works Services Department of the City of Redwood City; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said publication three bids were received; and <br />WHEREAS, K & L Automotive Service, Inc., of San Francisco, California is <br />the lowest responsible bidder (meeting the City's specifications) and it is the <br />intention and desire of this Council to accept the bid of K & L Automotive Service, <br />Inc.; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of K & L Automotive Service, Inc., in the total amount of Forty <br />Thousand One Hundred Thirty -eight and 45/100 Dollars ($40,138.45), computed <br />in accordance with said bidder's proposal dated May 16, 2001 for the sale and <br />installation of one (1) vehicle hoist, which bid is on file in the office of the City <br />Clerk, to which reference is hereby made for the full particulars thereof, is hereby <br />Reso -1161 1 <br />DES:djk <br />Shared /Shared /Redwood /Council <br />05/29/01 <br />
