6/11/01 <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14240 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION <br />OF (5) FIVE SENTRY GATE SECURITY CONTROL UNITS AND <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF PURCHASE DOCUMENTS IN <br />CONNECTION THEREWITH <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.76 of the Redwood City Code, this <br />Council has suspended the requirements of Article VII of Chapter 2 of the Code <br />of the City of Redwood City relating to competitive bidding for the hereinafter <br />described purchase and installation; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works Services requires the <br />purchase and installation of (5) five replacement sentry gate security control units <br />(readers) from Traks Engineering of Tallahassee, Florida; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to approve the purchase and installation <br />of said sentry gate security control units in an amount not to exceed Fourteen <br />Thousand Five Hundred Eighty -six and 65/100 Dollars (14,586.65); <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1.
