MINUTE ORDER <br /> CITY COUNCIL STUDY SESSION MEETING <br /> <br /> March 3, 1997 <br /> MO. 97-043 <br /> <br />CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br />Redwood City <br /> <br />DATE: March 5, 1997 <br /> <br />Attention: City Manager <br /> City Attorney <br /> Council <br /> Human Resources Director <br /> <br /> SUBJECT: Community Relations (205) <br /> <br />Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on March 3, 1997. <br /> <br />Present: Councilmembers Buchan, Claire, Howard, La Berge, Leipzig, Ruskin <br /> and Mayor Hartnett <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />The following motion was made, carried and entered on the Minutes: <br /> <br /> 1. The City Council will schedule a Council meeting in the Redwood Shores <br /> neighborhood. The Council will evaluate the benefit of such meetings in <br /> the future. <br /> <br /> 2. The City Council wants to contribute to the strength of the neighborhood <br /> association system. Individual members are encouraged to select one or <br /> more appropriate neighborhood association, attend meetings regularly and <br /> report back to the City Council. <br /> <br /> 3. The City Council is interested in reviewing other models of <br /> labor/management negotiations. The City Council needs to establish a <br /> policy on who conducts negotiations with the labor unions. <br /> <br /> 4. The editorial board will examine the public relations aspect of the City. <br /> <br /> 5. With the assistance of the new assistant to the City Manager, examine new <br /> ways of getting accurate and up-to-date information about the City into <br /> many different information sources/publications. <br /> <br /> <br />
