MINUTE ORDER <br /> CITY COUNCIL STUDY SESSION MEETING <br /> <br /> March 3, 1997 <br /> MO. 97-042 <br /> <br />CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br />Redwood City <br /> <br />DATE: March 5, 1997 <br /> <br />Attention: City Manager <br /> City Attorney <br /> Council <br /> Human Resources Director <br /> <br /> SUBJECT: Schools/Education/Children/Youth (205) <br /> <br />Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on March 3, 1997. <br /> <br />Present: Councilmembers Buchan, Claire, Howard, La Berge, Leipzig, Ruskin <br /> and Mayor Harmett <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />The following motion was made, carried and entered on the Minutes: <br /> <br /> 1. The Chamber/School proposal concerning the Library is an important <br /> opportunity to promote the partnership between the business community, <br /> the school system and City government. <br /> <br /> 2. Investigate more teen centers~ including increased attention to at-risk teens~ <br /> look for more opportunities for youth. <br /> <br /> 3. The Youth Advisory Board (YAB) will be used to gather input and <br /> promote participation l~om middle school and high school youth. (2 <br /> Council Members) <br /> <br /> 4. Continue positive cooperation with elementary school district/share <br /> resources. <br /> <br /> 5. Promote Redwood City Elementary School Board Election for June 1997. <br /> Help with the School Bond election. <br /> <br /> <br />
