REV: 06-05-2020 RL <br />AGREEMENT FOR SERVICE BETWEEN THE REDWOOD CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT <br />AND THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />(Redwood City Community Schools) <br />This agreement is made as of this 1st of July, 2020 by and between the Redwood City <br />School District ("RCSD") and the City of Redwood City ("CITY"); these entities are referred <br />to collectively as the "PARTIES." <br />WITNESSETH: <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable that the PARTIES enter into an agreement <br />to provide funds to continue the Redwood City Community Schools, located at Garfield, <br />Hoover, Kennedy, Adelante-Selby Spanish Immersion , and Taft Schools, which are <br />interagency school-based family resource centers providing human services, health <br />services, educational support and community development activities to a community of <br />approximately 3,700 students and their families; and <br />WHEREAS, the CITY and RCSD will provide funding for the core operations of the <br />Redwood City Community Schools while RCSD will provide all services associated with <br />this program, including staffing, oversight, and operations. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PARTIES AGREE AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. SERVICES <br />The PARTIES agree to continue to provide support Redwood City Community <br />Schools to provide coordination and administrative support to interagency school- <br />based family resource centers at Garfield, Hoover, Kennedy, Adelante-Selby <br />Spanish Immersion, and Taft Schools. These centers provide human services, <br />educational support and community development activities to approximately 3,700 <br />students and their families. <br />A. Scope of Services <br />The PARTIES are entering into this agreement, in the manner provided for in <br />Section 11 Compensation and Funding, for the sole purpose of providing <br />assistance to and allowing the continuation of Redwood City Community <br />Schools, the goals of which are more fully described in Exhibit "A". <br />B.Deliverables <br />RCSD staff will manage and coordinate the community school approach <br />(including wrap-around holistic services, family engagement, extended day <br />learning programs, and other core elements of community schools) at <br />Garfield, Hoover, Kennedy, Adelante-Selby Spanish Immersion, and Taft <br />Community Schools. <br />ATTY/AGR.2020.090/Redwood City School District (Page 1 of 8)
