15 <br /> <br />Section VI. Additional Responsibilities <br />A. Facilities Services Responsibilities <br />1. For routine maintenance of systems, Facilities Services will <br />(i) Provide the Contractor with advance schedule to the extent practicable <br />(ii) Provide Contractor no less than 24 hours' notice when that maintenance <br />is to occur (allowing Contractor to weigh in as to whether or not the <br />scheduled maintenance will interfere with operation and if it will interfere <br />Contractor will give alternate dates within a reasonable time frame when <br />the repair/service can be completed.) <br />(iii) Provide Contractor with acknowledgement that the service has in fact <br />occurred and any unusual findings related to that service. This notification <br />will be done by a service request confirmation. <br /> <br />2. For other than routine scheduled maintenance <br />(i) Contractor will notify Facilities Services of needed repair/service without <br />delay via phone, fax, or email to the DPW call center. Contractor shall be <br />responsible for any damage to the Shelter, its contents or any person <br />caused by its failure to timely notify the County of needed emergency <br />repairs of conditions that threaten the structure or its contents or the <br />health or safety of occupants or the public. <br />(ii) Facilities Services will notify Contractor within 24 hours of its anticipated <br />investigation of requested repair (if the matter is something that can be <br />addressed at the time of investigation, Facilities Services to adhere to <br />steps which follow): <br />a) Notify the Contractor's Maintenance Coordinator at least 24 hours <br />in advance of any scheduled maintenance activity that may affect <br />the Contractor's normal working operation (noise, dust, odors, <br />interruption of water or electrical service, etc.). <br />b) Facilities Services to notify contractor of findings of the <br />investigation and its plan to address (and except for the case of <br />emergency repairs, allowing Contractor to weigh in if the <br />scheduled repairs will interfere with its operation) <br />c) Critical or emergent work will be completed at time of <br />investigation. <br />d) Facilities Services to notify Contractor promptly upon <br />completion of the repair.
