Document animal’s description (breed, sex, and age), health assessment, initial <br />behavioral assessment, microchip, license, rabies, and any other pertinent information in <br />Chameleon Data Management System (or any successor system) within 24 hours of <br />receiving each animal. <br />6. Document complete behavioral assessment results in Chameleon Data Management <br />System (or any successor system) within 4 days of receiving each animal (not including <br />the day of intake). <br />7. Provide vaccinations, dewormers, and flea control when an animal enters the County <br />Shelter as appropriate for their species, excluding animals that are unable to be safely <br />handled or animals that are too sick/injured to receive this treatment. <br />L. Keeping County Shelter clean and disinfected <br />Contractor will: <br />1. Always maintain the kennel and animal care facilities in a humane and sanitary <br />condition with a focus on these areas: <br />a) Cleaning and Disinfection. Use of disinfectants should be limited to those that are proven <br />safe and effective for animal species sheltered at the County Shelter. <br />b) Surfaces and Drainage <br />2. Maintain stocks of disinfectants based on accepted industry standards to preserve <br />function and effectiveness with regards to temperature and light exposure. <br />3. Update all written guidelines/documentation for use of disinfectants to reflect current <br />practices as well as industry standards/recommendations . <br />4. Staff and volunteers shall receive training when guidelines have been updated and <br />documentation of training shall be maintained. <br />5. Take commercially reasonable measures to m aintain a pest-free shelter. Contractor <br />will enter into, pay the costs of, and monitor on a recurring and scheduled contract for <br />pest control services in and around the County Shelter. <br />6. Have written information available about zoonotic diseases for visitors, adopters an d <br />foster care providers. <br />7. Clearly mark enclosures of animals with suspected zoonotic disease to indicate the <br />condition and any necessary precautions. <br />8. Provide periodic staff and volunteer training and information on the recognition of <br />potentially zoonotic conditions and the means of protecting others from exposure. This <br />shall be included in the policy and procedures. <br />9. Ensure the public does not have unsupervised access to areas where animals are <br />isolated for zoonotic diseases. <br />M. Providing enrichment <br />Contractor will: <br />1.
