21 <br /> <br />handle, transport and/or care for exotic animals. If a third party is retained by Contractor, <br />said third party shall have lead advisory responsibilities. Public Safety Officials and/or <br />Contractor will determine if Fish and Wildlife need to respond to the scene. Contractor will <br />remain on the scene with requesting Public Safety Official until situation is resolved. <br />2. Priority 2: Respond without unnecessary delay, within (4) hours of receipt of the call <br />from the reporting party: <br />a) Dog, cat or domestic animal sick, or with minor injury <br />b) Sick or injured wildlife <br />c) All non-threatening Dangerous Animal permit violations <br />d) Dog or cat in trap <br />e) Animal in custody (stray confined) <br />f) Pack of dogs <br />g) Dead animal at a school between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM (excluding holidays) <br />3. Priority 3: Respond without unnecessary delay within a maximum of 18 hours of <br />receipt of the call from the reporting party and as soon as reasonably possible <br />beforehand to the following situations: <br />a) Animal at large (non-aggressive and non-threatening) in violation of local ordinance <br />b) Rescue animals when the animal’s life is not in danger <br />c) Reports of animal bites or attacks where there is no longer an animal at large which is an <br />immediate threat to persons or property. <br />d) Dead animal pick-up <br />e) Animal bite quarantines <br />4. Priority 4: Respond without unnecessary delay within 24 hours of receipt of the call <br />from the reporting party: <br />a) Stray patrol request <br />b) Owned animal for relinquishment (based on special circumstances or special hardship <br />situation) <br />5. Priority 5: If there are no calls pending in the other priority categories: <br />a) Officers will patrol City and County parks and neighborhoods in areas accessible by <br />Contractor’s vehicle, and will maintain a patrol of no farther 500 yards from the vehicle. <br />6. Ensure that Animal Control and Humane Officers shall impound stray or confined dogs <br />and cats and return them to the owner in the field, or transport to the anima l to the <br />shelter, as deemed appropriate by the Officer. <br />7. Provide a master schedule for Animal Control staff. <br />C.
