REV: 06-07-21 MI AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY (CITY) AND STEVE BLANC INVESTIGATIONS (CONTRACTOR) This Agreement is entered into this ____ day of June, 2021, by and between Steve Blanc Investigations, an individual, duly qualified to conduct business in the State of California, whose principal place of business is 1368 Crocker Drive, El Dorado Hills, California 95726; (hereinafter referred to as "Contractor"), and the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a California municipal corporation and charter city ("City"). City and Contractor are sometimes referred to hereinafter individually as “Party” and collectively as “Parties.” * * * WHEREAS, City has determined that it is necessary to obtain a Contractor to provide law enforcement candidate background investigation to meet POST standards as mandated by Section 1031 of the California Government Code on an “as-requested” basis for candidates seeking employment with the Police Department, WHEREAS, Contractor has represented to City that it is specially trained, experienced, expert and competent to perform the special services required hereunder and City has determined to rely upon such representations; and NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the faithful performance of the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement, the Parties hereto agree as follows: 1. EXHIBITS The following exhibits and attachments are attached to this Agreement and incorporated into this Agreement by this reference: Exhibit A – Services Exhibit B – Payments and Rates 2. SERVICES TO BE PERFORMED BY CONTRACTOR In consideration of the payments set forth in this Agreement and in Exhibit B, Contractor shall perform services for City in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications set forth in this Agreement and in Exhibit A. 3. PAYMENTS In consideration of the services provided by Contractor in accordance with all terms, conditions, and specifications set forth in this Agreement and in Exhibit A, City shall make payment to Contractor based on the rates and in the manner specified in Exhibit B. City reserves the right to withhold payment if City determines that the quantity or quality of the work performed is unacceptable.
