EXHIBIT "A" <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />BODY WORN CAMERA PROGRAM MANAGER <br />DEFINITION <br />Under general direction, this non -sworn position manages the Body Worn Camera <br />Program and assists members of the Police Department with managing body worn <br />camera equipment, the assignment of the devices, replacing worn/and or damaged <br />equipment, assists with training the police officers who wear them and assist in the <br />maintenance of body worn camera equipment. This includes managing all aspects of <br />digital multimedia collected by body worn cameras, including receiving, cataloging, <br />redacting, and coordinating with the Property Unit to ensure proper maintenance of <br />custody of evidentiary audio/video collected and stored in a digital format. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED <br />Direction is provided by a Police Lieutenant, Police Sergeant, or other Command Staff <br />personnel. <br />Responsibilities may include technical and functional supervision of personnel assigned <br />to the Body Worn Camera Program. <br />EXAMPLES OF IMPORTANT AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES <br />1. Prepares, scans and purges documents and files in compliance with policies, <br />procedures, regulations and public records laws. <br />2. Ensures compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, rules, regulations, <br />and standards; ensures maintenance, availability, confidentiality, and release of <br />records to authorized individuals per established guidelines; initiates any actions <br />necessary to correct deviations. <br />3. Ensures that all body worn camera recording footage is properly cataloged and <br />can be easily accessed and cross-referenced with case files. <br />4. Oversees maintenance of body -worn camera equipment and facilitation of body - <br />worn camera training. <br />5. Assists in the design and implementation of systems and forms for use in <br />operation. <br />6. Interprets Federal, State, and City regulations; coordinates their application to <br />City operations. <br />7.
