CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />§ENIOR LIBRARY ASSISTANT (Confrnued} <br />2. Prioritize, assign, and review the work of staff involved in work of assigned <br />location, function, or work unit; assist in selecting and supervising assigned <br />staff as well as volunteers. <br />3. Search, edit and input data into the library cataloging system; review <br />accuracy of input data; research and resolve discrepancies. <br />4. Recommend and assist in the implementation of goals and objectives; <br />establish schedules and methods for assigned area; implements policies <br />and procedures. <br />5. Perform the more complex and difficult work in directing circulation desk <br />activities; monitor and direct day-to-day circulation desk activities. <br />6 Maintain various statistics, files, and procedure manuals; prepare routine <br />summary reports. <br />7. Develop procedures and forms; prepare special reports and surveys as <br />directed. <br />8. Provide adequate space for materials in collections and coordinate any <br />necessary shifting; monitor collections for neatness and accuracy. Prepare <br />necessary reports for collection weeding. <br />9. Assist in the acquisition, processing and maintenance of the collections for <br />the library. <br />10. Place orders for and receive library materials and supplies; contact vendors <br />as needed. <br />11. Implement and coordinate library materials billing; and receive and account <br />for fines and other fees paid. <br />12. Verify and process incoming invoices for payment; resolve discrepancies. <br />13. Assist with library programs, special events, and outreach <br />14 In the absence of a supervisor or manager, may be asked to be in charge <br />of Library operations and security for specified hours and will receive a <br />differential. Employee has the option to decline the assignment and is not <br />eligible for differential for each request. <br />15.
