<br />Alternative 2: Comprehensive Campus Plan with School Focus <br /> <br />This plan is much more ambitious than Alternative 1, and considers the entire County campus area. It <br />recognizes the opportunity for locating substantial civic uses, such as a large school and child care center. <br />Alternative 2 also includes replacement of some existing County facilities and opportunities for significant <br />expansion. In all, Alternative 2 does the following: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Proposes development and expansion opportunities for all County properties in Downtown. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Assumes replacement of the aging 455 County Government Center office building. <br /> <br />Assumes incorporation of an expanded "Our Place" child ca(~enter into the civic portion of the <br />new development. ," <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Requires the relocation of the historic Lathrop House. <br />I / <br /> <br />Presents significant build-out of additional bloc'ks for County and other civic uses as follows: <br />o Block A: Appropriate for a combination of civic u~s,~ocusing on education facilities such <br />as a large school or multi-school comple~with1nco(~oration of an expanded "Our Place" <br />child care center.
