<br />Alternative 4: Comprehensive Campus Plan with Residential <br />Focus and "Our Place" <br /> <br />This plan is based on Alternative 3, but retains "Our Place" in its current configuration. It retains substantial <br />development potential to create synergy and critical mass for residential development in an urban <br />neighborhood context and considers the entire County campus area. In all, Alternative 4 includes the <br />following: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Proposes development and expansion opportunities for all County properties in Downtown. <br /> <br />Assumes replacement of the aging 455 County Government Lr office building. <br /> <br />Assumes retention of "Our Place" child care center with room ~pand. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Requires the relocation of the historic Lathrop House. <br />I ,r <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Presents significant build-out of three blocks for County as fo"lIows: <br />o Southern portion of Blo~k c: Accommoc:J~tes ~e6la?ement parking for th;e Hall of Justice <br />and Motor Pool in an interior structure fr:onted/by occupied office space allowing for <br />moderate expansion. .~~ <br />a Block D: Appropriate for a new mid or high-rise, County office building with substantial <br />structured parking. <br />a Block E: Indicates the greater development potential of the County Law Library site either <br />for the County "or to be~ sold off for private investment. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Results in three'aevelopment blocks as follows: <br />a Block A: Retains the County's existing child care facility and introduces new compatible <br />adjacent dev~lopmen~ consisting of ~lther high density housing, mixed-use, or office <br />wsteppin,g down toward "Our Place."
