<br />Mr. Passanisi, Principal Planner, made some introductory remarks as to the goal of <br />tonight's session. He explained that the General Plan team of consultants was present to <br />lead the discussion and elicit Council's clarification. The team focused on specific items <br />on a list that needed further clarification from Council. Council provided input on each <br />item and the consultants took note. There was a request that the economic development <br />component be more visible as well as emphasis on transportation links including "walking <br />shed maps". Ms. Ekas, Planning Manager, also answered questions and pointed out that <br />on the issue of the data, staff could look at some 2009 data that is readily available from <br />existing solid sources. <br /> <br />M/S Howard/Pierce to extend the meeting to 11: 10 p.m. Motion carried unanimously by <br />voice vote. <br />On the issue of the creek ordinance, it was suggested that it include an architectural and <br />aesthetics components and to consider programs that include restoration. Mayor Foust <br />believes a full Study session on creek issues should be scheduled. MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br /> <br />A. Legislation (information only) - This sub-section involves possible discussion of <br />City Position on Proposed Legislation described in the League of California Cities <br />City Advocate Weekly Issue No. 30-2009 and 31-2009. Council may direct staff to <br />act on positions taken by Council. (Copies of League of California Cities City <br />Advocate Weekly available in the City Clerk's Department). <br /> <br />9. ADJOURNMENT - M/S Howard/Ira to adjourn the meeting at 11: 1 0 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Member Ira alluded to a conversation he had with Bob Bell, Human Resources <br />Director/Assistant City Manager and he made comments regarding the budget and how he <br />has concerns that the Executive Team might be reacting to what the state is doing.
