Guiding Principles for "Stanford in Redwood City" Project (Stanford University) <br />Development Agreement. <br /> <br />Staff contact: Maureen Riordan, Senior Planner 780-7236 mriordan@redwoodcity.org <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />Consider adoption of proposed guiding principles that will give direction to the <br />negotiation process and shape the Development Agreement between the City of <br />Redwood City and Stanford University for the "Stanford in Redwood City" <br />development. <br /> <br />B. Draft New General Plan - City Council Direction. <br /> <br />Staff Contact: Tom Passanisi, AICP, Principal Planner, 780-7237 tpassanisi@redwoodcity.org <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />Review and reach consensus on the Introduction Chapter of the Draft New <br />General Plan and other revisions. <br /> <br />C. Proposed Replacement Jail - San Mateo County Sheriff's Office. <br /> <br />Staff contact: Jill Ekas, Planning Manager 780-7298 jekas@redwoodcity.org <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />1. By motion accept the report prepared by City staff submitted to the San Mateo <br />County Sheriff's Jail Planning Unit entitled "Site Information for Alternative <br />Locations for the Proposed Replacement Jail." <br /> <br />2. Discuss desired outreach efforts to Downtown stakeholders as well as <br />community members that have been engaged in the City's land use planning <br />efforts including the New General Plan and Downtown Precise Plan. <br /> <br />3. Provide direction to staff regarding next steps to take for the City's participation <br />in San Mateo County's jail planning process. <br /> <br />8. MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br /> <br />A. Legislation (information only) - This sub-section involves possible discussion of <br />City Position on Proposed Legislation described in the League of California Cities <br />City Advocate Weekly Issue No. 36-2009. Council may direct staff to act on <br />positions taken by Council. (Copies of League of California Cities City Advocate <br />Weekly available in the City Clerk's Department). <br /> <br />B.
