Mr. Passanisi, Principal Planner, made some introductory remarks as to the goal of tonight's session. He explained that the General Plan team of consultants was present to lead the discussion and elicit Council's clarification. The team focused on specific items on a list that needed further clarification from Council. Council provided input on each item and the consultants took note. There was a request that the economic development component be more visible as well as emphasis on transportation links including "walking shed maps". Ms. Ekas, Planning Manager, also answered questions and pointed out that on the issue of the data, staff could look at some 2009 data that is readily available from existing solid sources. M/S Howard/Pierce to extend the meeting to 11:10 p.m. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote. On the issue of the creek ordinance, it was suggested that it include an architectural and aesthetics components and to consider programs that include restoration. Mayor Foust believes a full Study session on creek issues should be scheduled. There was also a desire to have some collaboration with the County when applicable and or possible.
