<br />is an estimate of anticipated cost for the San Carlos Levee Project provided by Redwood City and <br />shall have no bearing on the actual costs incurred or the reimbursement paid. Redwood City <br />shall receive reimbursement for the amount actually incurred for the San Carlos Levee Project. <br />That amount may be more or less than any estimated amount. <br /> <br />7. The Contract Documents shall include, without limitation, plans, specifications, general <br />conditions, notice to bidders, bid form(s), performance and payment bonds and such other <br />provisions generally included by Redwood City in its construction contract documents <br />(collectively, "Contract Documents"). <br />8. Prior to advertising for bids, Redwood City shall provide San Carlos with a copy of the <br />proposed Contract Documents and any addenda thereto, for review and approval. San Carlos <br />shall be afforded a reasonable amount of time to review, comment upon and approve the <br />Contract Documents. Redwood City shall make such reasonable revisions thereto that San <br />Carlos may request and that are consistent with the aforesaid requirements of FEMA, the <br />Regulatory Agencies, the Permits and statutory and regulatory provisions governing Redwood <br />City's construction contracts in general. <br />9. Redwood City will award a contract to the lowest responsible bidder pursuant to <br />competitive bid processes as set forth in Chapter 2, Section VII of the Redwood City Code. <br />Redwood City agrees to notify San Carlos of the successful bidder to whom the construction <br />contract is awarded. <br />10. The contract documents shall require the contractor to obtain and maintain insurance <br />and surety bonds as set forth in Redwood City's standard public works contract Document 700 <br />General Conditions, Part II. The contractor shall be required to comply with all applicable laws as <br />set forth in Redwood City's standard public works contract Document 700 General Conditions, <br />Pa rt VI. <br /> <br />11. Redwood City shall furnish primary construction inspection services for all phases of <br />the Project work. The City Manager of Redwood City or his appointed representative shall be <br />solely responsible for all phases of construction and inspection functions and liaison with the <br />Project Contractor. In this regard, all communications and directions of San Carlos to Redwood <br />City's Contractor shall be directed through the City Manager of Redwood City or his appointed <br />representative. San Carlos representatives shall have access to work on the San Carlos Levee <br />Project at all times, and without restriction, for the purpose of inspection of such facilities. <br />Redwood City and San Carlos representatives shall cooperate and confer to facilitate the <br />performance of inspection duties necessary to expeditiously complete and accept San Carlos <br />Levee Project. <br /> <br />3 <br />
