Pride and Beautification Committee and she said this is a community effort. Two Council <br /> Members agreed on combining the current newsletter with other department because of <br /> economies of scale. Council directed staff to come back with a list that includes <br /> prioritization and a tiered approach. <br /> M/S Howard/Bain to extend the meeting until 11:15 p.m. Motion carried by unanimous <br /> voice vote. <br /> One Council Member said that certain initiatives are very time consuming for staff. Mayor <br /> Foust spoke last and she asked that the minutes and council packet of this meeting go to <br /> local legislators so they can experience firsthand what local City Councils have to do to <br /> deal with state takeaways. It was suggested that various approaches be used to reach the <br /> community and elicit its input. Mayor Foust suggested looking at non-traditional <br /> approaches to address this budget situation. It was suggested that on the issue of PAL a <br /> possible sponsor be found to support this entity as well as various BCC. Mayor Foust <br /> suggested a call to action to the community so people can come up with creative ideas to <br /> address these issues. <br /> City Manager Ingram thanked the Council for its discussion tonight.
