One Council Member said that certain initiatives are very time consuming for staff. Mayor Foust spoke last and she asked that the minutes and council packet of this meeting go to local legislators so they can experience firsthand what local City Councils have to do to deal with state takeaways. It was suggested that various approaches be used to reach the community and elicit its input. Mayor Foust suggested looking at non-traditional approaches to address this budget situation. It was suggested that on the issue of PAL a possible sponsor be found to support this entity as well as various BCC. Mayor Foust suggested a call to action to the community so people can come up with creative ideas to address these issues. City Manager Ingram thanked the Council for its discussion tonight.
